Morning Briefing in the dark

Welcome to a different, atmospheric and intimate morning briefing. As an acknowledgment of the slowly decreasing winter darkness that has filled our inner and outer landscapes the last months, we will eat, listen and share in the twilight of the darknened room, with a few candles to light the buffet. On this morning there will be no electric lights.

Performing artist Lotus Lykke Skov will share a few thoughts, words and experiences of variations of darkness. All participants who want, are as well invited to share something in the dark, related to darkness - could be a short text, music piece, poem, movement, silence or something else. With hope that this briefing will be an open space for listening, sharing and reflection.

This morning briefing is in English. However texts and other sharings in Danish are welcome. (NB please bring your text on old-scool paper and not on a digital screen).

About the artist

Lotus Lykke Skov is a performing artist, story teller and artistic leader of theater DraumVærk. For years she has been fascinated by the poetic and aesthetic potential of the dark, manifested through blindfolded performance walks (2014), participatory performance in total darkness (2018), darkness lab and a manifest on darkness (2018) and lately a 12-hour walk with darkness (2021).
