ART HACK is a network, a hub, a community in the Central Jutland Region with a joined mission. A mission evolving around interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation and the sharing of knowledge.
ART HACK saw the light of day in autumn 2017 as an active network created by an vast array of key actors across the Central Jutland Region. The networks’s key actors consists of centres and unifying organisations that among other things also focus on creating connections between artists, cultural occupations and other sectors in the region. At present these key actors consist of Maltfabrikken (Ebeltoft), Slagteriet (Holstebro), Galleri GRISK (Aarhus) Aarhus Billedkunstcenter, Performing Arts Platform (Aarhus) and Aarhus Litteraturcenter and Godsbanen. ART HACK is driven from a desire to:
- Ensure, develop and specify the interest for interdisciplinary collaborations that blossomed during European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017.
- Create new solutions or generate ideas to best practice where different lines of business with different skills meet and create something bigger or different… than …. each party can develop alone.
- Create durable and developing relations between individuals with different perspectives and skills.
In the first season of ART HACK… the key actors invited a string of individuals for different sectors – and with different skills – to join ART HACK. Among the actives members one currently finds: a lawyer, a choreographer, …an artist, an architect – just to mention a few.
